We have problems with addresses being sent to Endica incorrectly.
It happens like this:

Someone often enters their apartment number on the second line of the address form. Like this:

Name: My Name
Street Address: 1234 Fifth Steet
# 102
My Town USA

When Endicia prints the address label it prints like this:

My Name
# 102
1234 Fifth Steet
My Town USA

And, often enough, that package is returned by the post office for invalid address.

I can't think of a rhyme or reason why this is happening. But it happens a lot.

How can this be fixed? Is this a Shipworks problem or Endicia problem?

We are using OSC.

Thanks.

The first thing to check is to see how the address is downloading from your Online Shopping cart into ShipWorks. If you double click on an order in ShipWorks that it giving you address problems you can go to the address tab to see how ShipWorks is displaying the customer's address. If the address shows incorrectly there then most likely the issue lies on the shopping cart side. Then, you will want to pull up that order on your shopping cart and see if the address is incorrectly formatted there.

Thanks Nathan.

The address is downloading from OSC properly.
Line 1 is correct
Line 2
etc.

Just between shipworks and Endicia it swaps out line 1 and 2.

Very strange.

On further inspection, I think we've narrowed down the problem.

If someone puts a NUMBER only on the 2nd line of the address, Endicia is printing the 2nd line first and the 1st line second.

Found this out today when someone entered their address as:

Tom Smith
45698
Some Town USA

Endicia printed the address as
45698
Tom Smith
Some Town USA

Would like to know if this is a shipworks problem or Endicia problem.

Thanks.
